Top 10: Middle East Carriers by Revenue in 2010, according to Airline Business World Airline Rankings
Airline Business has published its much-awaited World Airline Rankings for 2010, with combined revenues of US$588 billion for the world’s 150 biggest airlines. Emirates was the only Gulf carrier to break into the top ten operators by revenue – the Dubai airline’s first appearance in the top ten since its launch 25 years ago. NUMBER 10: Middle East Airlines - MEA (Revenue in Millions: US$603 – Global Ranking: 122)
Beirut-based Middle East Airlines (MEA) is the national airline of Lebanon and is majority-owned by Banque du Liban. The carrier operates an extensive regional network within the Middle East as well as international scheduled services to Europe and Africa. Middle East Airlines became a member of the SkyTeam Alliance in 2011.
